Youth Service Leadership Programs
Kiwanis International empowers people at every stage of life to become competent, capable, and compassionate leaders by helping them learn to help others.
Through its Service Leadership Programs, Kiwanis teaches young leaders new ways to change the world by serving one child and one community at a time.
The Kiwanis Club of Pittsburg sponsors, works, and interacts with seven leadership programs.
K-Kids for elementary school children (ages 6-12) gives these future leaders the opportunity to develop strong self-esteem, good character, leadership skills, morals, high standards, and respect for others.
We sponsor K-Kids clubs at Geroge Nettels, Lakeside and Westside elementary schools.
Builders Club for middle school students (ages 12- 15) enables kids to make personal contributions to their school, community, and peers by taking positive, constructive steps toward building a better world for themselves and others.
We sponsor the Pittsburg Community Middle School Builders Club.
Key Club for high school students (ages 15-19) encourage these young leaders to become involved in community and school service.
We sponsor the Pittsburg High School Key Club.
Circle K International, a collegiate service organization, embraces the tenets of service and leadership by developing quality leaders and caring citizens. Circle K activities allows our club members to model service-leadership skills and interact with these dedicated young adults.
We sponsor the Pittsburg State University Circle K International.
Key Leader is a weekend leadership program for students who have completed 8th grade and have not yet graduated from 12th grade. The weekend focuses on the concept of service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadership-development experience.
